I don't know quite how to feel. Joyous over another happy and healthy year with my son. Anticipation and panic over the fast approaching holidays. It has been this way for us for the past six years, with his birthday being five days before Christmas.
Six years ago, what I was most thankful for was being able to bring home my baby boy for Christmas. He was actually due on Christmas Day. Today, I am most thankful that I can call this amazing little boy my son. I am so proud of every last accomplishment he has ever made throughout his life so far. And I know that there is so much more to come.
With Tyler being my oldest, we are once again entering the unfamiliar as we do every year with him. I'm not sure that I am ready to give up five. I want to be able to hold this moment and know that our days will always center around trains, dirty knees, and loving school. What happens at six? I am excited to find out and so very grateful that I even can.
